EUGENE/WILLAMETTE VALLEY

I believe death and dying is a natural part of life and a sacred rite of passage which holds immeasurable opportunity for deeply meaningful, transformational experience for both a dying individual and their loved ones.  Counseling, death education and guidance, planning, coordinating with service providers, and assisting with ritual and ceremony are all integral aspects of my work to help create and support the best death possible.

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Western New Mexico University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oregon.  I completed Death Doula training through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA) and am a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA.)  I am also a member of the Association for Death Education and Counseling.

I have extensive experience navigating Oregon’s Death with Dignity process and coordinating support for Medical Aid in Dying.

“Watching my loved ones leave this earth without knowing their options and rights at the end of life is what led me to this work. Having a caring person there to protect their agency over their own end-of-life process and provide death education to loved ones would have been immensely beneficial if it were available to them. It is my belief that access to comprehensive and compassionate death care is a human right. As such, I offer affordable, sliding scale and some pro bono support services to the individuals and families I serve.”
