Hi, I am Jill, a Certified Death Doula.  My path to becoming a death doula started when I moved home and cared for my Grandmother at the end of her life.  In 2006 I moved from CA to NJ with my husband and we moved in with my 90-year-old grandmother.  Shortly after moving in with her she got diagnosed with cancer.  When I was faced with the fact that my Grandmother was dying, I felt confused and eventually very overwhelmed because I didn’t understand what caring for someone on home hospice would be like.  I didn’t know what to expect or understand what was going on with my Grandmother at the end of her life.

The experience I had as an end-of-life caregiver was the start of my path to becoming a death doula and death coach.  Visit my website www.endoflifeclarity.com for more information about how I can assist you on this path.

"Hello, I'm Nicky, a compassionate Death Doula dedicated to guiding individuals through the profound journey of grief and providing solace during times of death anxiety and existential crisis. I received my training under the mentorship of Alua Arthur through Going with Grace. Combining various modalities like Kundalini Yoga, Reiki, Life Coaching, and Hypnosis, I offer comprehensive support to those facing end-of-life transitions and navigating the complexities of loss.

My passion for death/dying stems from a lifelong fascination, which was deepened when my own mother passed away in 2005. Reflecting on my personal experience, I recognized the immense value an End-of-Life Doula could have brought to that pivotal moment. Now, with empathy and expertise, I strive to be the guiding light that I wished was there for my mother and my family to help others find peace amidst life's most challenging moments."

Beth Almerini, RN, BSN, CHPN, Certified End of Life Doula

Beth Almerini has spent over thirty years at the bedside of the dying, and brings an open heart and wealth of experience to her work. She is both a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse and End of Life Doula who, in addition to caring for clients and their families, also teaches and mentors other End of Life Doulas. Beth began her journey in end of life care while working as a nurse’s aide where she was asked to literally sit with a woman who was dying alone. It turned out that simple things, such as being present, holding a hand, reading a poem and singing a hymn were exactly what was needed to bring comfort and peace. Comfort, peace, presence, and kindness are what Beth brings to an experience that can be unfamiliar and frightening for the dying and their families alike.

Beth is based in central NJ and is open to travel within the state as well as NYC and Philadelphia. She can be contacted at beth@leavingpeacefully.com or (732) 915-3529.

As an End of Life Doula, I  holistically support those with an advanced staged/terminal illness and their loved ones. Through extensive training,  I provide education of the natural process of the illness and emotional, mental and spiritual comfort, support, and coping skills to ensure quality of life for all involved.

As a result of families working with me, they learn how to support and comfort each other at a time when most people don’t know what to say or do, their questions are answered and they are less fearful and stressed.  The burden is lessened and the feeling of unconditional love is increased.

Having a dependable, knowledgeable, creative ally that solves what was once perceived as unsolvable problems and provides loving, customized care at such a vulnerable time can make all the difference.
