I am honored to be a certified palliative care chaplain at University of Colorado Health.  I am also a palliative care doula and keep those two roles separated. 

Having spent many years in hospice services, including children’s grief support, bereavement, operations and fundraising, I am well-versed in end of life care. 

I serve doula  patients in the greater metro Denver/Front Range area and help triage patients throughout Colorado requesting doula services.  

I also have close ties to doulas in Oregon and can help triage support there as well.  

My passion is helping patients and families navigate healthcare systems through the end of their lives, to utilize what is available to them to their best advantage and to be able to end their life where and how they desire to do so.

I work with patients requesting Medical Aid in Dying and am working towards being part of systems that can help patients utilize psilocybin (where it has been decriminalized, in Oregon and Colorado currently) for palliation of end of life anxiety.

We are all interconnected, and no one should die alone. She uses what she learned as a physician and a meditation guide to comfort people during this end-of-life transition. Our society gives us the message that death and dying are not supposed to happen, which can further add anxiety and fear to a natural process which will occur to all of us. Yeshim Harlow

After being able to serve a senior veteran with MS whom she so fondly called grandpa, it became clear to her at an early age, what she wanted to do with her life.
          She first became an EMT, then an instructor for the AHA, training and certifying people in CPR, First aid, and MHFA. In 2014 she started an in-home dignity care company, Warrior Elder Care. She teaches a two-part death and dying class for ESHS and is also a certified end-of-life doula trained at UVM.
            She has a wide knowledge of cultural differences and honors and respects how anyone chooses to make their journeys. Her hope is to continue to serve families and individuals with dignity and respect. She also wants to bring awareness to as many people as she can reach so that we may all be more comfortable talking about our own mortality with ease.

Cindy brings her passion and more than 20 years of experience as a hospice volunteer to her work as an INELDA Certified End of Life Doula. With a calm and loving presence, she supports her client’s choice about end of life care. She offers a compassionate space for life review, legacy work and vigil planning. Cindy feels being an End of Life Doula is her life’s calling and is privileged to be in this sacred space with clients. 

 Cindy is also an ordained interfaith minister and offers ceremonial services, funeral services, memorial services and life celebrations of all kinds. She has received training in home funerals and green burials and assists her clients who choose these options. Cindy is experienced working with multicultural communities and is an ally for the LGBTQ community.
