Carolyn Coleman has extended her thirteen years as an Episcopal priest into the work of end of life preparation and healing care as well as conscious dying education. With two degrees in comparative religion, Carolyn has a strong understanding of human religious imaginations and how this gift guides our living and our dying times. Her vision involves returning death to its sacred place in human living so that cultures overcome death phobia and embrace dying well as a vital part of living well. Carolyn offers diverse populations tools for living well through end of life planning and formation. She hopes this work will reach more and more persons who wish to live deeper, fuller lives. Not just a “one and done” death preparation kit, Carolyn’s work strives to cultivate gratitude for and welcome of each element in human experience: birth, grief, loss, love, death, joy, etc.—each one, as Rumi writes, “a guide from beyond” to show us the profound richness of this life.
Carolyn is based in Middle Tennessee. You may reach her at ccoleman@dyingwell.com or 615-938-0802.

Jade Adgate is and has always been a caretaker, a nurturer, a helper and a wide-eyed companion to her elders. Serving her own aging family members alongside her growing babies, Jade developed a reverence for the bookends of the human experience, birth and death. This perspective forms the stance Jade brings into the work she now does as a death companion: the belief that sacred, holistic and dignified death is a right every human being is entitled to.
Jade has served as an active hospice volunteer since 2018 and as a death doula (INELDA trained) since 2020. Farewell Fellowship was created in 2021 to expand the practice of contemplative death companionship to our wider Nashville community. Throughout her experience serving the dying and their loved ones, Jade has developed a calming presence, and inquisitive approach to conversation and the ability to connect to others with warmth, compassion, authenticity and humor.
You can contact Jade at her website www.farewellfellowship.com or by phone (615)678-1366.

Rebecca Harris became a death doula after caring for her father during his final weeks in hospice. She realized there are gaps in the hospice system where patients and caregivers still need support, and that's where the death doula can offer assistance. A death doula offers non-medical support to individuals and their families as they navigate the end-of-life journey. As a NEDA-certified doula, Rebecca brings a focused and intuitive presence to the bedside, provides respite for exhausted caregivers, explains the signs and symptoms of the dying process, and helps both loved ones and patients cope with their emotions and experiences during this sacred time. She will collaborate with each family to develop a customized care plan that reflects their individual needs and values. A skilled singer, Rebecca can also share her gift of music during the journey. Serving the greater Nashville, TN area, Rebecca would be honored to provide care and space for families and patients in their homes as well as in-patient facilities.
