Frances Pope Hewitt, LPC/S, LAC, LCMHC, NCC, EoLD, is the owner and operator of Sailing Away End of Life Care Services is a trained End-of-Life Doula through the University of Vermont’s Professional and Continuing Education training program for humans and animals as well as other doula training programs nationally and internationally. Frances is also the Program Lead for the University of Vermont’s End of Life Doula programs. With over 20 years of clinical experience in the behavioral health care field, she has spent her career advocating for those who could not advocate for themselves, ensuring they have access to quality behavioral health care. Frances has taken this same clinical passion to those facing end-of-life phases and decisions to ensure her clients die well.

Paige Hetherington, L.Ac. is a palliative care acupuncturist who received her training in Conscious Dying and Home Funeral Guidance from Sacred Crossings of Los Angeles. She created GraceFull Dying to support the dying and aid loved ones in creating an environment for the process to be dignified and peaceful. GraceFull Dying also provides community education regarding end of life choices and planning. As an advocate of green burial practices and home funerals, families are assisted in creating meaningful ritual to honor a loved one’s life.

Kaleo Wheeler is an End-of-Life Consultant, Death Doula, Ordained Non-Denominational Minister, Hawaiian Spiritual Teacher, Ceremonialist and Certified Life Coach, with over 30 years experience. Either in-person or worldwide for online assistance; she is honored to stand beside the one dying, helping them navigate through unfamiliar territory at the end of their life. With an openhearted presence, she offers support to the family to feel competent and central to the process; less afraid of the unknown; and in always making the dying person’s wishes come first. She supports the one dying on their spiritual end-of-life journey through Life Review, Legacy work, and Intentional Planning for a vigil, their funeral/celebration of life and how they choose to be remembered. After death, processing sessions are available for the family. Her intention is in creating a sacred space that embodies comfort, peace and sacredness for the person dying and their family.
