Dr Andrea Deerheart has dedicated her life to serving the end-of-life community for more than 35 years. After working in the traditional field of death and dying as a Hospice social worker, she became an End-of-Life-Practitioner (Death Doula), Psychologist, and Mythologist. She founded The HeartWay, a 501c3 non-profit organization, that provides integrative psychosocial-spiritual support, end-of-life care, death doula, advocacy, and ministry services to help ease the challenges that arise with dying and death, and the grief that follows the dying and their loved ones. One of the methods that Dr Deerheart has pioneered within the end-of-life community is the practice of Yoga Nidra, a traditional Yogic technique of conscious deep relaxation, self-awareness, and conscious creation. Today, Deerheart and the HeartWay provide services to those who are at end of life transitions, their caregivers, and loved ones throughout the world. HIGH DESERT
Dedicated to enhancing the end-of-life journey for individuals and their loved ones, my soul's purpose as a death doula is to bring comfort, compassion, and support. With each unique experience, I strive to enrich the dying process and foster stronger connections between medical staff, caretakers, and families.
My journey into end-of-life care began with my own family members, where I provided unwavering care and support to ensure their desired and optimal end. Drawing from my extensive nine-year background in real estate, particularly in probate transactions, I bring a unique perspective to the realms of both life and its inevitable conclusion.
While my professional journey has taken me beyond The Living Room, a local company specializing in independent care and assisted living, my commitment remains steadfast. With over 30 years of experience in assisting people with disabilities, coupled with my real estate expertise in probate matters, I continue to embrace the role of a mother of three, extending my commitment to compassionate care into both my professional and personal life.
As a volunteer with hospice, I dedicate my time and skills to furthering my passion for creating meaningful and peaceful end-of-life experiences. With a service area encompassing the High Desert region of California, I am honored to spend precious moments with each individual I have served, making a positive impact on their end-of-life journey.
